My July sampling begins tomorrow. This will make 9/23 sample dates....that number makes me sad just looking at it. As done as I am with field work, I'm hoping it will serve as a nice mental reset so I can actually go back to getting shit done. Every day this month has been a real mental struggle to come in and keep my nose to the grindstone. I don't know what's wrong with me.
I used to really like field work. But now I know that every sampling period generates far more data than I can even comprehend what to do with, let alone analyze up into my dissertation. Whine, whine, I know. Gotta get it out somewhere.
So here's hoping this will officially snap me out of my funk. Hopefully our high school student (my assistant this month) will be enthusiastic enough to be contagious.
